Milton Public Schools Open Wednesday - Pierce Middle School Comes Down

Down with the Old Pierce Middle School in Milton

I was driving on Central Avenue in Milton yesterday and just had to stop
and look at the demolition of the old Pierce Middle School.There were scoop loaders literally taking the building apart in record speeds.

While watching the building come down, I noticed that you could see the new school
in the background and I thought how lucky we are as a town to have all new schools
for the children and as an amenity for future home buyers.

Has it been easy? I would say no. There have been tax overrides and great debates, but
in the end it will all be worth it for our town.

As a Realtor, I can tell you people buy the town, not just the house. The short term pain we faced
about who is going to which school and how are we going to pay for it will all go away
when we enjoy well educated children and high property values due to some capital investments
in our school system.“The seeds of success are planted to today”  - We made an investment. We should be proud of
the new buildings. They are beautiful. The children will enjoy the new classrooms.If you have not taken a ride by The Cunningham/Collicot Schools you should. The open this Wednesday.
The landscaping is not done, but is being worked on.

Milton Public Schools open Wednesday. Let us reflect on the new schools and wish the
children a successful year
