Okay so, maybe you may or may not have children. If you do, you’ll definitely want to read on. If not, you can read anyways and pass along this information to someone who may be able to use it. The other day a little boy of one of the people I am selling a house for decided to write on an Oriental rug in a dining room. This was a very expensive rug and the homeowner was very upset thinking the rug was destroyed. Oh by the way, did I mention the artwork was created with a large permanent marker.
I jumped into action. I went down to see the guys (Richard and Colby Thomason) at Milton Village Hardware in Milton, Ma (Lower Mills). I was on the hunt for Gonzo brand spot remover. Much to my disappointment the store did not have it. However, Richard being a very resourceful hardware store owner suggested that I used Purell. Purell is the waterless hand cleaner you see nurses and doctors using in the hospital. I was a bit skeptical at first, however what could be worse that the permanent “artwork”.
I am so delighted to tell you that the guys at Milton Hardware were dead on. The Purell worked perfectly. If you live in the Milton area and you need to solve a problem and can’t the help you need from the big chain hardware stores, you need to visit Milton Village Hardware. I hear this a lot from potential buyers. They want to know what the prices are on condos in the market that they are looking.
In Milton, there are very few condos for sale in comparison to the overall single family market in Milton.
To give you an example, there are currently 128 single family homes on the market in Milton. There are only 28 condos.
There are only a couple of places where there are condos in condominium developments. The 3 major condo complexes that come to mind are:
The Residences at Milton Landing
Quisset Brook
The Burr Estates
Brushwood
The Residences at Milton Landing was new complex built a couple of years ago at 88 Wharf Street. The building is sited majestically on the Neponset River. There are always resale units available in the complex. To see a current list of units available, please click here.
The other complex which has a fair number of units is Quisset Brook. The condominiums were built in the 80’s. The are located off of Unquity Road near the MDC skating rink. There are about 56 units in the complex. The style is more townhouse style. There are always resale units available at Quisset Brook. You can see the available units by clicking here.
The 3rd largest complex for condos in Milton is the Burr Estates. The Burr Estates is sited on 21 acres. It is a gorgeous building. The complex is on some very pretty land. This complex is located on Milton Street. There were no units on the market at the time of this writing.

The Milton Single Family Market Update (8/26/2007) Here is the week in review for Milton, Massachusetts Real Estate
The time frame covered for this report is for 8/19/2007 to 8/26/2007.
There are currently 131 single family homes on the market in Milton.
In the past week, 5 properties came onto the market.
There were 12 price reductions on 12 properties.
The average price reduction was $11,685.00. Percentage wise, the reduction
amounted to a 3.0% price reduction.
Only 4 properties went under agreement. The average time on market for these
4 properties was 68 days.
6 properties closed last week. These properties took 97 days to sell. They also came in 97%
